All Indian film industry stars got together on the red carpet at the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 that held at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai on 14 January.
The Bollywood youngest but talented star Alia Bhatt bagged the Best Actress Award for her courageous performance of a Bihari migrant in ‘Udta Punjab’. However, Mr. Perfectionist earned the Best Actor Award for his extra-ordinary portrayal of a strict sportsman father, in ‘Dangal’.
Nonetheless, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial drama-sport movie “Dangal” named the Best Film Award and he also was honored by the Best Director Award.
Bollywood’s one of sexiest actress Sonam Kapoor named the Critics Award for Best Actor (Female) for her praiseworthy performance of Neerja Bhanot in the biopic ‘Neerja’ (2016), while actors as Manoj Bajpayee and Shahid Kapoor honored by the Best Actor (Male) for their performances in ‘Aligarh’ and ‘Udta Punjab’.
A large number of the Indian actors and other media associated personalities attended the iconic 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards ceremony that hosted by actor Shah Rukh Khan.
However, after receiving the Best Director award, directory Tiwari addressed reporters saying that the title which was given against his job, believes how much people liked Indian movie Dangal, also added saying thanks to everyone in homeland and from other countries who appreciated as well liked their film.
The 23-year-old daughter of Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt attained his award for the Best Actor (Female) category from Bollywood legends Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.
Alia Bhatt said in statement that she has been expecting a lot to Udta Punjab, even thanked co-star Shahid Kapoor for sending storyline to her. She also said that the day is so special to her.
